‘The Meal’ is an ongoing project that works with different communities building relationships with food, encouraging creativity and working as a team.
The aim of this project is to see how a group of people can collectively work together to create a meal. The challenge is to consider all areas of the eating process, including using the ingredients supplied to replace crockery and cutlery. This encourages communication with other 'cooks' to share their skills in the areas of making and cooking.
Due to the variety of locations in the world; Brazil, Indonesia and the UK. The cuisine changes from group to group, discovering different processes and interesting combinations stemming from personal knowledge of food.
The events inform the ongoing research Sarah Colson Ltd has into community as well as influencing her commercial product ranges.
