Portraits
By looking at the ideas of modern technology and how we use the digital to distort, I have created my own interpretation of an analogue photo booth. By inviting the audience to become the ‘photographer’ and the ‘model’ a relationship of amusement is formed. The images are created by drawing through a glass plate between two people. On one side of the glass a Fresnel lens is hung and on the other a piece of acetate. The acetate becomes the canvas for the onlooker to draw through. The images produced take references of the person in question but also accentuate and distort their natural features.
